Bread and Circus Magazine is a non-commercial, online journal covering  culture, broadly construed.

Launched in 2007, Bread and Circus Magazine is a place to meet and start a conversation.  It  features articles on  art, cinema, pop culture, media and politics, the environment, the power of myth, and myriad other topics and ideas.

We don’t have an ax to grind or an agenda to push. Instead, we offer articles for you to think about, discuss, or debate. Our consortium of authors have studied in different fields, worked in a range of positions, and write for a variety of readers.

Our name represents who we are and what we want to do — provide both food for thought and a forum for discussion. We hope you’ll visit us often.
